More delays in cement supply

December 11, 2012 6:01 pm

Fiji Industries is facing more delays in getting its cement factory up and running.

General Manager Mosese Waqavakatoga confirms machine parts that were expected to arrive last week still haven’t been received.

He adds they’re down to thirty percent of normal supply and this is going to major government projects.

Imported cement from New Zealand is also expected to carry them through until the mill is repaired.

Waqavakatoga says they expect to resume full operations by the end of the week.
