The Social Democratic Liberal Party last night announced its forty two provisional candidates list for the 2018 General Election.

The new inclusion into the candidacy list are of Party leader Sitiveni Rabuka, Albert Wise, Peceli Vosanibola and Ro Filipe Tuisawau.

However, there are some omissions from the earlier announcement made during the Party’s AGM, with prominent names like Semesa Karavaki, Mikaele Leawere, Daniel Urai, Mitieli Bulanauca and Pauliasi Matawalu not making the cut.

While the party is yet to announce the final 10 candidates Party president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has not been named yet as a candidate for the election.

Of the 42 candidates announced last night 11 are currently opposition members of parliament.

Re-elected candidates include Niko Nawaikula, Dr Mere Samisoni, Ratu Tevita Niutaiwalu, Viliame Gavoka, Aseri Radrodro, Ro Kiniviliame Kiliraki, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Salote Radrodro, Jiosefa Dulakiverata and Ro Teimumu Kepa.

Also included on the 2018 general election candidacy is former People’s Democratic Party rep Lynda Tabuya.
