Members of the Social Democratic Liberal Party interrupted the SODELPA Management Board meeting in Suva last week trying to stop the announcement of new appointments.

Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka posted on his official Facebook page last night that a few members threatened legal action against SODELPA for non-compliance with certain aspects of the Constitution.

Rabuka adds that the Management Board responded to the legal representative of the said members  and the Board meeting continued – albeit with a lot of distractions.

The SODELPA Management Board meeting on Monday discussed the various interviews which were held to fill vacant positions in the party.

The only vacancy that has been announced, is that of new General Secretary Usaia Pita Waqatairewa.
