A self-employed man of Laucala Beach in Nasinu who is charged with two counts of found in possession of illicit drugs believed to be marijuana has been remanded in custody.

Michael Chinappa, 20-years-old appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today and was remanded because Prosecution claimed the matter was of public interest.

The accused was with another person when police officers entered his home and found 4.5 grams of Indian hemp.

The accused will have to make a formal bail application, on the 27th of this month.
