Man pleads guilty for theft of mobile phone

A Sigatoka man has pleaded guilty to one count of theft of a mobile phone.

The Sigatoka Court heard that Eri Rigamoto was drinking alcohol with a group of friends on January 1st, this year, when they ran out of drinks.

Rigamoto then took the mobile phone belonging to Mosese Nayacalevu, from where it was charging and sold it to buy more drinks.

Rigamoto was later caught and the matter was reported to the police.

The mobile was later retrieved and returned to the owner.

He has been bound over for five hundred dollars for twelve months and has been told to keep the peace in the village and be on a good behaviour.
