A 22 year-old man is in police custody at the Labasa Police Station after he allegedly attempted to rape a 15 year-old girl in Labasa on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred whilst the victim was having her bath at home.

The matter was reported to police and the suspect has been arrested pending further investigations.
