An investigation is underway where a 59 year old i-taukei male died after sustaining injuries outside a hotel in Labasa.

Police say the deceased was trying to avoid getting into a fight with another male suspect when he fell on the roadside.

The victim sustained injuries which resulted in his death.

The body is now waiting post mortem while questioning of eyewitnesses continue
