The Court heard the man then forcefully pushed the complainant down when she was seated on the floor and raped her.

High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe while sentencing the man says the victim had an emotional and psychological effect after the offence.

The Judge says she has also been experiencing rejection and refusal from her family and relatives.
