A 35-year-old man is in custody for allegedly raping his 40-year-old girlfriend in Suva.

The alleged offence occurred on the 20th of last month at their home.

It’s alleged the victim and her aunt were drinking alcohol and was joined by the accused later that evening.

It’s alleged the man raped the victim when she was asleep in the living room.

The accused will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
