The Waidra Bridge on Baulevu Road in Nausori will be closed for maintenance from Thursday night.

The Fiji Roads Authority is advising the public using this bridge that during this time, access will be prohibited across the bridge and there will be no detours posted.

The FRA will further continue work to remove and replace the damaged nailing strip, transverse planks and damaged running boards.

The FRA says bridge closure signs have been posted in advance of the closure period and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly.

Standby vehicles will be available on both sides of the bridge to cater for emergency events.

The bridge will be closed from Thursday 8pm to Friday 6am.
