Empowerment Chief Executive, Patrick Morgam

There is a great need to raise more awareness and understanding of legal rights and justice services.

Empowerment Chief Executive, Patrick Morgam made this statement while signing the grant for the Fiji Access to Justice Project.

Three Civil Society organizations including Empowerment Pacific will share a grant of more than half a million dollars to undertake this project.

Morgam says the project will enable them to identify and discuss key human rights challenges.

“We all should join hands together and stand up and make ourselves count against gender based violence, so that’s something we need to do and we need to make our stand firm.”

The three CSO’s are expected to provide justice support services from their respective areas of expertise with a focus on rural and maritime communities.
