Chief Justice and Acting President Anthony Gates launches the Laws of Fiji Website [Source: Fijian Government]

Details of the consolidated laws of Fiji can now be accessed online.

The Laws of Fiji Website was launched by the Chief Justice and Acting President Anthony Gates, earlier today.

Justice Gates says the website will also provide access to laws of the land for all Fijians.

He says the website will not only have details of all laws  but will also provide clarification to the public.

“The website features the same text that appears in the published version of the laws and contains historical notes that shows the law has been amended.”

There will be 20 volumes of our laws on the website which includes 370 Acts and 884 subsidiary laws.

Justice Gates says the website will make research easier, swifter and more accurate for lawyers.
