Koroinasau students receive new beds

November 15, 2017 5:17 pm

The students of Koroinasau Primary School in Sigatoka received thirty new double beds from the government today.

The handover was made by Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau.

During a talanoa session earlier this year the school committee had requested the Prime Minister for beds as students as young as 6-year-old were sleeping on the floor.

The school caters for students of four villages whose main source of income is agriculture.

“Your school or the beddings of the walkway or the foot crossing project is not too small for government to overlook, however the Prime Minister sees the importance and potentials in all schools such as yours in the bigger picture of developing Fiji thus has extended assistance to your request.”

Tagicakibau says the new development is a testimony to the vision of Government in ‘Leaving no child behind’.
