Minister for Employment Jioji Konrote has commended the Presidents address in parliament last week calling it bold, succinct and inspirational.
Konrote says the Presidents’ challenge to the House of Representatives to maintain the rule of law, despite a certain group trying to set up a separate state, should be taken seriously.
“Madame speaker his Excellency further challenged our integrity and reminded us to do some soul searching because if we fail to condemn these actions then have failed in our ability and good judgement to do the right thing as expected of us and this would inevitably cast doubt as the president quite rightly pointed out on our suitability and creditability to represent our people who voted us into parliament’’.
Konrote says all parliament members should rise to the challenge set by the President to uphold the democratic rule of law.
