Police Investigations are ongoing in relation to a former employee from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who was allegedly involved in a visa scam last week.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirms the staff has been terminated.

This is after they received a report from the ministry.

Naisoro says the woman was suspected to be organizing visas.

She says the issue is now being handled by a team from the force.

The extent of the alleged scam is not known as visa issued are normally handled by the Department of Immigration under the Ministry of Defence.
