India sends 45 tonnes of relief items

A C 17 aircraft with 45 tonnes of relief material will reach Fiji today from India.

The aircraft left Chennai, India last night carrying materials including tents and medicines to help Fiji after Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.

This was confirmed by the Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Anil Wadhwa.

India joins a host of other nations who have been assisting Fiji with international aid be it cash, kind or humanitarian aid.
