August 22, 2018 12:52 am

Fiji has all that it takes to produce very good quality fruits, vegetables, fish and meat.

These were the comments of the International Finance Corporation Regional Vice President, Nena Stoiljkovic.

Stoiljkovic says newer measures or newer technologies need to be introduced for farmers to become more productive and more efficient.

The VP adds they are also looking at how to fully develop the private and agricultural sector.

“We’re very interested in affordable housing, in support to small and medium size businesses and continue to support the government in developing reliable and resilient infrastructure such as renewable power, airports, and ports. That would be our approach going forward.”

She adds the IFC will be working closely with the government in financing these developments.
