Heavy rain and strong winds have started in Lami.

Quaia Street resident, Teimumu Caucau says there has been a drastic change in weather this afternoon.

“The winds current is really strong and it’s raining very heavily also. We do not have power and water. The weather is really getting bad and we are just hoping for the best.”

Meanwhile, the Ba town has been closed with the likelihood of flood later tonight.

This has been attributed to the heavy rain in the mountains of Nadarivatu and also in the interior of Ba.
