A heavy rain alert remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern half of Viti Levu, Kadavu, Lomaiviti and Northern Lau group.
The Fiji Metrological office says a trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the north of Fiji with associated clouds and showers.
A moist easterly wind flow affecting the northern and eastern parts of the country is also expected.

The Fiji Metrological office predicts showers are expected to increase to rain and become frequent and heavy from later tomorrow.
It’s important to remember that localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
