The Government will cover the school fees for all Fijians who wish to take up short courses at the various technical colleges.

This was confirmed by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday at the opening of the technical college of Fiji in Labasa.

Bainimarama says those wishing to do one year course can have their fees paid under the TELS Program.

The Technical College of Fiji in Labasa is one of the first of 10 technical College to be set up around the country.

The college will provide courses for block layers or plasterers, mechanics, panel-beaters, painters, welders, electrical trades people, hospitality or office workers.
