Gold Card Service Launched

November 20, 2012 12:08 am

Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority has launched its Gold Card Service – which provides high end services to members.

While launching the service this morning, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commended companies and individuals who play their part as far as paying taxes are concerned.

Bainimarama says taxpayers funds are always put to good use.

“My government has done its part to ensure that the tax contributions of Fijians are reasonable. We have acted with prudence, sensitivity and good economic sense. Too much taxation can strangle an economy by taking too much money out of productive hands. Money that’s invested in business produces jobs and growth, which produces revenue for the work of government.”

The new service is aimed at recognising and rewarding taxpayers who’ve complied with tax requirements and make payments on time.

FRCA has also launched a re-vamped website where people can get all relevant information on tax rates, VAT returns, customs tariffs and the other tax and customs-related issues.
