The Vugalei Bridge along Kings Road in Tailevu will be closed off for emergency bridge deck repair from 6pm today.

The bridge will re-open at 4am on Monday.

FRA chief executive John Hutchinson says during this time they will be monitoring the situation.

He says they will only accommodate emergency services such as ambulance, fire trucks and police to pass through.

The bridge will reopen on Monday with restrictions; gross limit of 14 tonnes will be allowed and speed restrictions of 10km/h.
