The Fiji Sugar Corporation says it fully understands problems faced on occasions in all four sugar mill during crushing.
FSC Executive Chair Abdul Khan told FBC news if crushing is disrupted due to technical or other reasons – they are ready to accept this fact.
On the same token Khansays this does not mean to say that during these times crushing should stop or reduce.
He says it is FSC’s duty to see that all cane is crushed and if any problem arises at the Rarawai Sugar Mill they will either crush cane at Penang or the Lautoka Sugar Mill and cane delivery must continue.
KHAN says they will also provide assistance to cane lorry operators if cane is to be transferred from one sugar mill to another.
