Staff from the Fiji Roads Authority paid a visit to a number of cancer patients at the Colonial War Memorial Hospitals Oncology Unit in Suva yesterday.

This is to support those that were going through the toughest of times.

FRA Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Moore says some patients are having a really tough time and they wanted to help put a smile on their faces, particularly at this time of year.

Moore says the staff raised about $500 from which they bought gifts.

He says they’re happy to see a lot of survivors and are praying for those that continue to fight this courageous battle.

The visit is part of their corporate social responsibility and they will be carrying out similar activities in the Western and Northern Division.

CWM Hospital Acting Head of Oncology, Dr Kelera Sakumeni says they were grateful for the kind gifts as it was a timely surprise
