FRA calls on road users to exercise caution

November 11, 2018 6:18 pm

With further forecast of heavy rains, the Fiji Roads Authority is calling on all road users to exercise caution and drive to the road conditions.

FRA Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Moore is urging the public to refrain from attempting to cross flooded roads, crossings and bridges.

Moore says motorists are to proceed with caution as the rain event has and will continue to inevitably result in an increase in the number of potholes.

He says motorists are to keep a safe following distance in order to prevent accidents on wet and slippery roads and avoid stepping into or driving into flooded areas.
