The Fiji Muslim League is planning to construct an all-girls high school at the Makoi Vocational Centre in 8 miles, Nasinu.

President, Hafizud Dean Khan says at the moment all the Muslim high schools cater for both girls and boys.

Khan adds the League is trying to transform the Center into a multi-facilitated area for the women.

“There is a lot of need not only from a religious base but also from a concentration point of view – in terms of better results to have an exclusive girls school.”

Khan says the League will also develop a girl’s hostel at their eight acres of land in Nasinu.

Meanwhile, the League is also planning to set up a retirement home dedicated for women only and the construction will begin in two years.
