A flood alert remains inforce for the low lying areas and small streams for Vanualevu and the northern and eastern parts of Viti Levu.

The Fiji Meteorological Service says an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.

The trough of low pressure is expected to affect the group till tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, a heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Northern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu and Kadavu.
