The government continues to receive a number of new flag submissions after the extension of the feedback period to February 29th–a fortnight from now.

Beginning March 1st, designs will be shortlisted through the Prime Minister’s office and be made available for public feedback for a 3 month period.

People will be able to express their preference through public consultation, social media and text platforms.

Once the public’s input is taken on board, the new design is expected to be announced on July 1st.

The new national flag will be raised on Constitution Day – September 7th.

The public is being encouraged to submit new designs on email: [email protected], hand delivered or mailed to the Department of Information in Suva.
