The fisheries ministry has extended its services to two more maritime islands and has setup fisheries office there.

The new fisheries offices are located in Cicia and Moala Island in the Lau group.
Fisheries Minister Semi Koroilavesau says the stations will provide services to the isolated fishermen and communities.

“These stations operate to provide services to these isolated islands. Services are provided in the form of conducting meeting and consultation on fisheries, providing fisheries advice to communities, trainings on fisheries programs, data collecting and assistance through surveillance and service patrol.”
