FijiFirst Party General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has raised concerns about reports of vehicles of their supporters being vandalized.
According to Sayed-Khaiyum, several vehicle owners have come to their office to have the political movement’s sticker removed because they feel intimidated.
He said he has raised the matter with the Electoral Commission and is yet to receive anything from the commission.
“In order to be able to ensure the members of the public and voters to give them the level of confidence to be able to express themselves, they need to assure to the public that there’s no need to be intimidated.”
Electoral Commission Chairman, Chen Bun Young is yet to respond to our questions.
