The Kidney Foundation of Fiji has achieved a major milestone after taking out second place in the International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF) poster competition.

India won the competition, which had submission from the likes of Japan, Turkey and Malaysia.

The photo was donated to the KFOF by Pacific photographer Judith Ragg of Fiji and highlighted the dangers of NCD’s in the country.

KFOF founding chair, Dewan Chand Maharaj said with Fiji being the smallest island nation within the IFKF, the second placement was a great achievement.

The KFOF has also offered to host one of the IFKF meetings in the very near future.

In a recent media report released by the Ministry of Health, nearly 75% of Fijian suffered from an NCD.
