The enhanced diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unfolded new platforms for Fiji to participate in one of the world’s most prestigious exhibition.
The Expo 2020 Dubai will be held from 20th October 2020 until mid-April in 2021.
Fiji will have the opportunity to be featured among 190 plus countries at the 2020 Expo which will attract more than 25 million visitors from all over the world.

Elaborating on the importance of Expo 2020 to Fiji, UAE Non-Resident Ambassador accredited to Fiji, Saleh Ahmed Alsuwaidi says that it will unfold new socioeconomic opportunities for developing nations.
He adds that Fiji will be among other Pacific Island nations who will get a pavilion each to showcase the uniqueness of their culture and actively market their countries strategic economic programs and explore new ventures for trade and business development.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador notes that work is also in progress on the implementation of recently signed MOU with the UAE Red Crescent to support the Fijian Government’s Adopt a School Program.
Visitations he says have already been made to the 3 schools and they are the process of choosing the consulting companies.
