Fiji safe for investments

August 25, 2015 1:00 am

Fiji is a safe place to invest and there has never been a better time to do business here says Investment chief executive Godo Muller-Teut.

Muller-Teut made these comments this morning while speaking to several investors at the Investment Exploratory Seminar and One-on-one meetings in Fiji.

The two-day seminar aims to answer questions which potential investors have about doing business in Fiji.

“I’m delighted with our existing Australian investors who have steadily increased their spending with local projects since 2010. Last year recorded the highest of 74 ventures values at $47.3m with the majority focus on the Tourism services industries.”

Godo Muller-Teut also said other sectors such as fishing, mining and education have unlimited growth.

Representatives from various authorities such as the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Register of Companies and the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority were present to answer any quires they might have.

More than 20 participants gathered At Novotel Lami this morning to attend the seminar.
