Fiji-Japan relationship critical: Koya

July 9, 2018 4:57 am

Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya says the Fiji Japan Trade and Investment Symposium is critical for the two countries relationship.

Koya says the seminar aims to provide the necessary information to better understand the Fijian business climate, the opportunities and incentive that exist, and the overall vision of the government in terms of development aspirations.

“Today’s event marks a very important milestone in the growing trade and economic relations between Fiji and Japan and it’s also important as this is the very first Japanese trade and investment mission to Fiji.”

Koya says Fiji is the hub of the Pacific – the hub of trade, business, transportation, logistics and communications.

He says Fiji is working towards becoming one of the most business friendly destinations in the region, with its pro-business policies.
