The Fijian Holdings Limited will be largely investing into the tourism sector in 2019.
Group Chief Executive, Nouzab Fareed says the FHL will be constructing 150 room hotel in Lautoka.
Fareed says the government has given the group a lease and the project will be a consortium.
He adds apart from this project, the group’s other tourism subsidiaries are performing well.
“Overall the sector is doing well. South Seas Cruises, Blue Lagoon Cruises, Malamala Beach Club and Yasawa Holidays are collectively doing a wonderful job and they have done much better than they did in the last financial year.”
Fareed says with the country’s high tourism performance, investment into accommodation is the next best venture for the FHL.
The Group consists of fourteen subsidiaries and is a listed company on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
