FHL to invest in renewable energy projects

The Fijian Holdings Limited is looking at investing in two renewable energy projects to help in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Group chief executive Nouzab Fareed says the Group’s overall investment portfolio has grown by more than $300 million as of June.

Fareed says they wish to continue investing in the economy.

“We are seriously looking at two renewable projects. We are looking at two hotels and we are also putting a lot of money into building and construction sector and at this stage we are also serious about a logistics company.”

He says being a locally owned company they provide employment to around 3,300 people, of which only eight are expatriates.
