A father of two is in custody for allegedly assaulting his wife, blaming her that she was having an extra-marital affair.

The alleged incident occurred on the 19th of this month at their home in Vatuwaqa, Suva when the victim was getting ready for work.

It’s alleged the accused was drunk at the time of the offence.

The accused has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The father of two will be appearing in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
