Theatre company to host acting workshop

The Indian Ink Theatre Company from New Zealand will host an introductory acting workshop today at USP’s Oceania Centre in Suva.

Jacob Rajan who is a play-write and an actor is here for his first performance and will be conducting the workshop.

“Indian Ink Theatre Company, myself and Justin Lewis founded the Company from New Zealand and we are very excited to be here for our first-ever performance in Fiji.”

Rajan adds the workshop will focus on liberating the body and voice to create characters that amplify human emotions, relationships, and truth.

He says the workshop will also enable students to participate in exercises and games to experience what it is to act “at the level of the mask.”

A free public performance tomorrow and Saturday will be held at USP by the Indian Ink Theatre Company.
