Eight men are in custody for their alleged involvement in two separate robberies.

The first incident happened at the home of a 56 year old in Suva Point on Monday afternoon where assorted items worth more than $4,700 were stolen.

The house was vacant at the time of the robbery.

A team that was set up to investigate the matter has recovered some of the stolen items which also led to the arrest of four men.

In another incident yesterday, another four men who were believed to be under the influence of alcohol were arrested after they allegedly stole items from a shop called Her Gorgeous Expression in Suva last night.

The eight remain in custody as investigations continue.
