An economist at the Fiji National University, Dr Chandra Dulare says the government has tried to deliver its promises in its election manifesto in the 2015 budget.

“But the pleasant surprise was the expenditure on roads and it’s a very welcome thing because what it means is that the government is being very expansionary and we expect growth to be much higher next year which means lower unemployment.”
