Creating awareness amongst our children to say No to Drugs is very important.
This was the message delivered at the launch of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Suva today.
Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy says drug abuse has been in existence but it becomes a worry when it encircles towards our innocent children.
Reddy says it’s everyone’s responsibility to join hands and work towards eliminating drug use in our society as children are our future.
“The kind of future Fiji that we will have will be determined now so how we develop our children, the kind of values and virtues education we give them ,how we physically prepare them ,how we mentally prepare them will determine the future Fiji because these are the children who will make the future Fiji .We should start working from now .”
Parents are advised to teach their children the right values to understand their role in the society and negative effects drug have on them.
