Social Democratic Liberal Party, Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has wished everyone celebrating Diwali the best for the Indian New Year.

Rabuka says Diwali is a national celebration of the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness and people coming together to celebrate the festival of lights.

He adds while the people of Fiji practice different faiths, we are united in our wish for peace to work together and unite to help our nation.

The Leader says the Girmitiya and their descendants have contributed greatly to our multicultural society and to the modernization of our country.

Rabuka adds Diwali is a time to come together and celebrate this special time with family and friends.
