An elderly man of Navaga, Koro Island has become the first victim of severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.

DISMAC officer on duty, Vatia Vasuca told FBC news the man died after a roof top fell on him.

He says other details about the deceased will be released once the police investigation is complete.

Vasuca says that only one life has been lost so far due to the impact of TC Winston.
