Crown Prince ends visit on a high note

The Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus visited Daku village in Tailevu yesterday and was accorded a traditional welcome by villagers.

Prince Haakon was taken for a tour through the village and was shown the site inspection of two flood gates.

Daku village has been affected by the rising sea level and the Prince was able to see first-hand the devastation.

The Crown Prince then concluded his visit to Fiji on a high note as he departed for Nadi Airport soon after.

Prince Magnus, who had two days of official engagements was farewelled with a hundred men guard of honor by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces at the Nausori International Airport.

He will continue his tour of the Pacific and heads to Samoa next.
