Six people have been arrested by police after dried leaves believed to be marijuana were found in their possession.

A seventeen-year-old student from Rewa was arrested by Police at Nailaga Street in Narere after a white plastic containing 10 sachets of dried leaves were found in his possession.

In another case five arrests were made at Syria Park in Nausori yesterday.

A twenty-nine-year-old farmer from Baulevu, a twenty-nine-year-old farmer from Lakena Hill Number Two and a twenty-three-year-old unemployed man from Visama Village, Nausori were taken in custody for allegedly being in possession dried leaves, each believed to be marijuana.

In two separate cases a twenty-five-year-old unemployed man from Verata, Wailevu was found with 11 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

All suspects are in custody and the drugs have been sent for analysis.
