The Real Estate Agents Licensing Board received a complaint from an agent that two people are pretending to be REALB officers.

The agent says one of the impostors gave his name as Shavnil while the other one was of iTaukei descent, however, did not reveal his name.

The impostors entered the agent’s premises and presented themselves as REALB Compliance Officers.

After entering the agent’s office, the duo picked some envelopes and opened filing cabinets.

They left the premises after they were apprehended by an office assistant and warned them that they would call the police.

REALB Chair Dr. Abdul Hassan confirms there was no inspection scheduled last Wednesday by their officers and they do not have any officer by the name of Shavnil.

Hassan says all real estate agents are to demand ID from any person conducting an inspection.

He says the possibility of other impostors operating in other areas cannot be ruled out.
