Ravinesh Chand

The trial date of a 36-year-old pastor charged with rape will be decided on August 16th.

Ravinesh Chand from Nadali has been charged with three counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and one count of sexual assault.

It is alleged that he raped a 15-year-old student in Nausori who is a member of his congregation in Luvuluvu in April.

The state requested time to file information and disclosures.

The matter has been adjourned to August 16th for a pre-trial conference and to fix a trial date.
