A 58-year-old businessman from Nadi who allegedly raped his 24-year-old employee, was granted bail by the Lautoka Magistrates Court as he is a kidney patient.
The man is charged with one count of rape and one count of attempted rape.
It is alleged the accused raped his 24-year-old employee on two different occasions between December last year and January this year.

He was granted bail with a sum of three thousand dollars with two sureties, after a medical certificate was shown in court highlighting the accused had a kidney transplant.
The accused surrendered his passport and a stop departure is also part of his bail conditions.
His case has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court.
It will be recalled on the 13th of next month.
