A 22-year-old man is in custody for allegedly raping a 17-year-old student in November last year.

The matter was reported by the victim over the weekend.

The man is facing one count of rape charge.

It’s alleged the man took the victim to a motel in Suva where the alleged offence occurred.

He will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
