A man who allegedly raped his wife was produced at the Suva Magistrates court yesterday afternoon.

The alleged incident occurred at the couple’s home in Vatuwaqa, Suva last Wednesday.

It is alleged he forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

The accused has been charged with one count of serious assault and one count of rape.

The case has been transferred to the High court.

The matter has been adjourned to 18^th April.
